Bio:
Maria Papadima is a child and adolescent psychotherapist trained at the Independent Psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Association (IPCAPA), London. She completed a PhD on trauma and psychoanalysis and works in London with adolescents, young adults, and parents in an NHS adolescent crisis team, as well as in private practice. She has a longstanding clinical interest in therapeutic work with adolescents, including brief and long-term treatment, as well as parent and adolescent work during crisis. Maria teaches and supervises on the IPCAPA training and other psychoanalytic trainings, and has published on clinical work with adolescents. She is currently undertaking advanced training in psychoanalytic couples psychotherapy at Tavistock Relationships. She is co-editor of Adolescence in crisis: An Independent Psychoanalytic Approach (Routledge, 2026).
