Infant Mental Health
Due to a very positive response to the similar courses run in previous years we are pleased to repeat the 'Introduction to Infant Mental Health - 5 week training course' and the 'Introductory workshop on Infant Mental Health', both run by Becky Wylde and Eva Shehu-Whitefield (flyer).
The 5 week course will happen on Monday evenings 5.30 to 8 pm beginning January 21st 2019 and ending in March 2019. Cost £100.00 (bursaries available on application)
After that this course will be repeated at different intervals during the year.
The course will focus on:
Exploring the emotional experience of the Infant and Young Child through discussion, reading and work experience and the teaching will be delivered in small groups. It will also include thinking about the practice and principles of Infant Observation.
We also deliver 'Infant Mental Health teaching Workshops'.
These are one off whole morning events and can be delivered to teams and agencies on request and are repeated periodically in BTPP. Cost: £20.00
This is a morning taster of discussion and teaching - thinking about the emotional experience of the infant and introducing ideas relating to the study of Infant Observation. Participants of this workshop may wish to continue to the 5 week training course in September 2018.
