Introductory Workshop on Infant Mental Health
Due to the highly positive response in previous years, we are pleased to offer the ‘Introductory Workshop on Infant Mental Health’ once again, led by Eva Shehu-Whitefield and Elizabeth Priestley
This five-week course runs twice a year, typically on Mondays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, at cost of £175 (bursaries available upon application).

Course Overview
This workshop invites participants to explore the emotional world of infants and understand their unfolding experiences from a psychoanalytic perspective. The course is highly experiential, featuring:
Two core seminars: one on work discussion and another on infant observation.
Brief observational exercises in the community.
Engagement with psychoanalytic theory related to infant mental health.
Small, seminar-style discussion groups for in-depth learning.

Thinking about Adults from a Psychoanalytic Perspective (2025)
Who is this course for?
The course is designed for child and adolescent psychotherapists who are analytically trained and registered with the Association of Child Psychotherapists.
Course Outline
This short course is designed to consider working with parents and young adults (18-25). The course considers the world of adulthood. what are the similarities, what are the differences. Through reading, discussion, and clinical seminars, we explore the landscape of adulthood, the adult setting and adult preoccupations. It considers the difference between the world of children and adolescents and the world of adults.
Course delivery:
This is a blended course, taking place both on-line and face to face. 10 weekly seminars online with one Saturday in Person. Starts Friday 3rd October 2025
